About the Grampian Data Safe Haven (DaSH)

The Grampian Data Safe Haven (DaSH) was established by the University of Aberdeen and NHS Grampian and is a specialised facility which hosts a secure compute platform, known as a Trusted Research Environment (TRE) that allows approved researchers to securely access health, social care and other administrative data within the Grampian and Scottish population.

DaSH ensures that routinely captured, individual-level sensitive data is accessible for research and clinical purposes. Rigorous de-identification and quality assurance processes mean that the privacy of individuals is protected.

Datasets available

DaSH can facilitate access to a wide range of NHS Grampian population data.

How to enquire

Researchers must initially complete a Project Initiation Document, which helps DaSH understand the project's needs. If the project is deemed feasible, DaSH will guide researchers through the next steps in the process.
