Research Data Scotland (RDS) is attending Glasgow Science Festival this June with our family-friendly activity 'Data Linkage: Joining the Dots'.

When we go to hospital, receive treatment, or take exams, data is collected. Join us at the Glasgow Botanic Gardens on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June to learn more about how researchers use this data to gather insights that can improve people's lives.

Learn about how data is linked - for example health and education data - to generate insights and understanding. Play with LEGO®, join the dots and talk to the team from Research Data Scotland and the University of Glasgow.

About this year's Glasgow Science Festival

This year, Glasgow turns 850 years old, the perfect excuse for a party! To mark the occasion, Glasgow Science Festival will run from the 5th to 15th June 2025 with the theme ‘Glasgow Celebrates’. Taking inspiration from the city coat of arms and poem - 'Here's the tree that never grew, here’s the bird that never flew, here’s the bell that never rang, here’s the fish that never swam.'

Enjoy a packed programme featuring 100’s of events and activities in 50+ venues across the city.
