RDS is one of the partners of Public Engagement in Data Research Initiative (PEDRI), which is seeking feedback to understand how the public's views can be incorporated in data research in a meaningful way.

To help this goal, PEDRI are developing a guidance document called Best Practice Standards for the Use of Data for Research and Statistics. The first draft of this document provides clear guidelines for conducting meaningful Public Involvement and Engagement (PIE) in data and research involving the use of public data.

If you’re interested in how public data is used for data research and statistics, you are invited to read the draft document and share your thoughts.

PEDRI welcome responses from a range of backgrounds including (but not limited to) researchers, Trusted Research Environment professionals, data owners and Public Involvement and Engagement professionals.

Get involved

RDS invites you to read the draft document and share your thoughts on how it can be improved. Your feedback will be critical in shaping the final document.
