Now is a great time to join Research Data Scotland. As a relatively new charity set up by the Scottish public sector and leading universities, we are striving to help researchers find and make use of data that can improve the lives of the people of Scotland.
Working in partnership, we aim to widen the range of data available, create new data assets and provide a point of contact for safe, secure and effective access to public sector data.
We are pleased to announce a number of new technical roles in our Data Team on two-year fixed term contracts.
From April 2023, Research Data Scotland will be commissioned by Scottish Government to support the delivery of the ADR Scotland programme on practical data work.
This work will contribute further to ensuring better alignment across the Scottish system and so increase the impact of the ADR investment. The roles available are:
2 x Data Analysts
We’re looking for two Data Analysts to work to assess the feasibility of making datasets available for research, as part of the Administrative Data Research Scotland programme.
Senior Data Analyst - Curation
The Data Curation Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the data held at a secure computing environment called Scotland’s National Safe Haven is well managed, appropriately refreshed and updated, and data quality checked and maintained.
We are expanding to build out the automation processes within the Scottish research data landscape. We are looking to hire a Data Engineer who will be responsible for building smooth processes for ingesting and refreshing data into a secure computing environment called Scotland’s National Safe Haven.
Data Sourcing Manager
We’re looking to recruit a Data Sourcing Manager to lead on areas of non-health data, as part of the Administrative Data Research Scotland programme.
