Join RDS at the ADR UK Conference 2025 for the opportunity to engage with others about administrative data research under the theme 'From records to research: Harnessing administrative data to enhance lives.'
RDS colleagues are ready to share their findings and answer your questions across a range of topics, including synthetic data, network analysis and practice improvement.
Workshops and presentations
Attending the pre-conference on Tuesday 16th? Why not sign up to hear more about both the English and Scottish LEO datasets. Our Data Sourcing Manager Eleanor Mitchell will be contributing to the workshop, which starts from15:30.
Want to know more about synthetic data? Sophie McCall’s presentation on Wednesday 17th will walk you through how RDS are setting up a repository of synthetic dataset in Scotland. Our Data Analyst Linus Chirchir will follow that with more detail on our approach to the automation of low-fidelity synthetic data generation. Catch both of their presentations from 11:35am in the Common Room.
If you have an interest in Equalities data, make time for Siân Robson’s presentation on improving practice around use of linked equalities data in Scotland. This project aims to bring together information from research, practice and public views to make recommendations about safeguarding and use of equalities data from administrative sources in Scotland. You can catch Siân in the Richard Burton Theatre from 14:10 on Thursday 18th September.
Posters
You can also chat with members of the team when browsing our poster presentations.
We have three poster presentations lined up for you on different themes. Come chat to Rosie Seaman about novel network analysis, Siân Robson on improving the match rate of Looked After Children data in Scotland, or Jen Muir on the findings of the ADR UK Ingest Group around smoothing the data ingest process.
You can find poster presentations displayed throughout the two-day conference in the Foyer and Gallery on the ground floor of the conference venue. Our presenters will be available to talk with you and answer any questions during the lunch break on both the Wednesday and Thursday of the conference.
Exhibition Stand
Finally, we’ll also be hosting an exhibition stand across the two main conference days. Come say hello and find out more about our work at Research Data Scotland. You can find out more about what’s on at the conference by exploring the full programme. Don’t have a ticket yet? This blog from our Chief Data Officer Nora Cooke O’Dowd covers why we think this conference is such an important date in the data research diary.
